Saudi Exit/Re-Entry Documents: Organise Copies Before You Travel

Sources checked: 2026-10-27

A tidy folder can help you find travel records, but it does not issue a visa or prove that an old record is still valid. Use the official service to check your current details first. The file-handling steps below are organisational advice, not a mandatory travel-document checklist.

Confirm the service and current record

The Absher issuance guide cited below covers family members and domestic workers. Other employment arrangements should follow their applicable official service or employer's instructions.

For exit/re-entry, that guide lists a valid residency permit, passport validity of at least 90 days and the beneficiary being inside Saudi Arabia at issuance among its requirements. Read the full current official conditions; this article is not an eligibility assessment.

The guide says a visa issued with a Return Before date uses that date as the last day for returning to Saudi Arabia. Check the current official record rather than calculating a deadline from an old screenshot.

Keep originals and working copies separate

Where the official service offers a downloadable or printable record, keep that output unchanged. If you use your browser's Save as PDF function for personal reference, check the preview for clipped content and treat the result as a reference copy, not a newly authenticated document.

Use clearly named folders and distinguish current records from old versions. Store identity documents securely, avoid shared public links, and do not put passport or Iqama numbers in file names.

Build a combined PDF only when someone requests it

If an authorised recipient asks for several ordinary document copies in one file, confirm exactly which copies are needed and in what order. Do not infer that Absher requires a merged passport-and-visa PDF for issuance.

Keep issuer-signed or certified files unchanged and ask how they should be submitted. For permitted ordinary copies, use the PDF merge service, then check each page against its original. Compress only if the recipient's upload limit requires it and processing is permitted.

Send only the requested documents to the intended recipient. Aalejha offers paid file preparation; it does not issue or extend exit/re-entry visas, verify travel permission or update government records.

Recheck before sharing or travelling

Confirm that your saved copy belongs to the right person and matches the current official details. If a visa is changed or replaced, do not keep using the old copy as proof of current status.

Ask the responsible authority or carrier which original documents and evidence you need for your journey. A combined PDF or screenshot is not a substitute for a passport, official record or any required travel document.

Frequently asked questions

Must I merge my passport and visa into one PDF for exit/re-entry?

The cited Absher issuance guide does not establish that requirement. Combine copies only when your receiving office specifically requests it.

Is a saved PDF proof that my visa is still valid?

A saved file reflects what you saved at that time. Check the current official record; a file cannot establish that the status has not changed.

Can Aalejha issue or extend an exit/re-entry visa?

No. Aalejha processes images and files. Issuance, extensions and travel-status questions belong with the responsible official service.
